A volunteer project may last one day, but its learning can continue when participants share one accurate, respectful idea with their own community.
Ask what the project taught you
The strongest follow-up is often simple: what did we notice, what did we learn and what can another person do safely? A useful reflection is more valuable than a dramatic claim about impact.
Keep the story accurate and dignified
Write one sentence, verify the source and choose an action that does not expose a beneficiary's identity or promise an outcome the project cannot guarantee.
- Describe what was observed, not what was imagined
- Remove names and identifying details unless permission and need are clear
- Credit the local organisers and source material accurately
- Offer a current official route for people who want to help
