Our Genesis: From MAAST to GraffitAid
The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Ours began in 2005.
NGO MAAST, based in Goa, was founded in 2005 with a revolutionary approach to social awareness. Instead of traditional methods, we chose entertainment, sports, and fun-oriented activities to create meaningful impact.
This innovative thinking led to the birth of GRAFFITAID - a groundbreaking HIV/AIDS awareness campaign that was inaugurated by Goa Governor S.C. Jamir in a star-studded event featuring celebrities from music, fashion, television, and Bollywood.
Our publication 'GRAFFITAIDS', supported by the Government of Goa, became a cultural phenomenon. This unique book used humor-infused graffiti to communicate serious social messages, reaching schools, colleges, and workplaces across the region.
Today, MAAST and GraffitAid have evolved into a global platform addressing multiple social causes - from hunger and malnutrition to homelessness and environmental issues - while maintaining our core belief that creativity can change the world.
