Older adults are increasingly affected by HIV/AIDS, yet they often face unique challenges related to diagnosis, treatment, and care. Ageism, lack of awareness, and comorbidities can complicate HIV/AIDS management in this population. Tailoring interventions to address the specific needs of older adults, including age-friendly healthcare services, support for medication adherence, and addressing social isolation, is crucial for ensuring optimal outcomes. By recognizing and addressing the unique needs of older adults living with HIV/AIDS, we can promote healthy aging and improve quality of life.
